Mercedeh is the Owner and Chief Conservator. She studied at world-renowned institutions such as the Institute of Fine Arts and Restoration Palazzo Spinelli in Florence, Italy. She has 40 plus years of industry experience and has performed art conservation and restoration on various works of art for various museums, the “Soprintendenzai” – Italian Ministry of Arts, the Civic Museum of Ancient Art, national galleries, private and corporate collections, art advisors, insurance companies, and art appraisers , the Italian Institute of Culture, Archbishop Curias and churches, city councils, as well as numerous other public and private institutions, art collectors, and art and antique vendors.

In the span of her 30+ year career, she has performed art conservation treatments on paintings by prestigious artists such as Rembrandt, Claude Monet, Paolo Cagliari called “il Veronese”, Joan Miro’, Salvador Dali’, Dosso Dossi and many others (see list of Artists). Mercedeh also taught graduate-level classes at a number of reputed institutions.

Carla’s educational background is in Art and Conservation. In 2016 she successfully obtained her PhD in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage – Painting Specialization, Centro do Porto da Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP-CRP).  From 2010 – 2016 she was a researcher at the “Centro de Investigação e Tecnologia das Artes, Centro Regional do Porto da Universidade Católica Portuguesa (CITAR)” carrying out projects in Portugal and Brazil.

Her work experience is in museum environment (Fundação Museu do Douro, Portugal), research and conservation studios in Portugal and Spain.

In April 2016 she came to the USA and has been working for Stella Art Conservation since May 2017.

Michael’s primary role is to promote Comic Art Care online to the comic art collector community. He saw a need to service this space since the hobby has been growing steadily over the past 25 years. As comic art value has increased performing better than most stocks, we saw a real and growing need to preserve and restore these great works by the famous comic book artist masters such as Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, Todd McFarlane and Barry Smith just to name a few. Michael also manages the customer communication, order fulfillment.
